No parole for Karla Homolka's ex-lover

No parole for Karla Homolka's ex-lover

An inmate who pursued a relationship with Karla Homolka while both were serving time at a correctional institution on the island of Montreal, has been turned down for parole for a second time

Sue
it shows how the justice system (in many countried not just ours) is sooo backwards. Karla's out and re-established herself, the boys who tortured and killed little James Bulger have done the same.... at least this KILLER: GERBET is still in jail. Hopefully more murders will follow in this path.

Isn't that wonderful, Homolka gets to live her life out as if nothing happened but...Kristen, Leslie and Tammy don't! I hope something very bad happens to her as punishment for her crimes!!

What country in their right mind would allow Karla to move to their country. It is bizarre to say the least, but the upside is she is somebody else's problem now...GOOD RIDDANCE TO THAT PIECE OF TRASH!!!

Team USA Softball: Bowie Memories

Team USA Softball: Bowie Memories

If there is one plus to being single and having no social life, it's that I can sit home and watch the U.S. Softball team play in non-Olympic tournaments --- of course, Olympic softball no longer exists.

Right now, the United States is leading the Netherlands, 5-2, in the top of the fifth inning. The Americans are playing in the KFC World Cup of Softball. Team USA recently won the Canada Cup by going 12-0 during the tournament in Bristish Columbia.

Jennie Finch is pitching her second inning now. Not only is she easy to look at, but Finch was incredibly gracious with her time last May when Team USA strolled through Bowie as part of its Bound4Beijing tour, essentially a tune-up for the Olympics.

Your sports editor was the only member of the media to show up for Media Day at a Bowie hotel. I also interviewed Cat Osterman and Monica Abbott. The Americans won the silver medal at last year's Olympics.

I still have the pen that Finch used to sign autographs after their game last May at Prince George's Stadium. And after the fifth, Finch has struck out five batters in just two innings of work.

God bless America!!

New footage shows Michael Jackson Pepsi Commercial Hair on Fire

New unreleased footage taken in 1984 shows the fateful moment that Michael Jackson’s hair caught fire during the filming of a Pepsi commercial.

The now infamous incident which put Michael Jackson in hospital for treatment for serious burns to his head, is often credited as the point at which Jackson started acting strangely, from bleaching his skin white, through to a full range of other behavior that earned him the tag “Whacko Jacko.”

The new footage obtained by UsWeekly shows Jackson from behind: the first scene shows Jackson performing the first take for the commercial and the pyrotechnics being fired safely. The second scene shows the fateful sixth take with the pyrotechnics going off early and Jackson’s hair catching fire, and the delay between the fire starting and being put out.

The following Michael Jackson Pepsi Commercial Hair on Fire video is disturbing and may not be suitable for younger views.

Michael Jackson’s Autopsy Picture and Video

Michael Jackson’s Autopsy Picture and Video

Michael Jackson’s autopsy picture is shown on the cover of The Insider (on right). Previously Rev. Jesse Jackson said that Michael Jackson’s family wants an independent autopsy following the pop star’s sudden death at age 50

Note: The video was taken after Michael Jackson’s death.
Reverend Jesse Jackson said after a Chicago press conference Saturday that there are unanswered questions surrounding the King of Pop’s death, including about the role of the personal cardiologist who was with him. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office performed an autopsy on the singer’s body on Friday but deferred a finding on the cause of death pending further tests that could take more than a month. Jesse Jackson says the family’s wound from the pop star’s death is being kept open by the mystery of the cause of death.

Cops Deny Dubbing Jackson Death a Homicide
TMZ.com Says Their Probe Is Homicide Investigation and Superstar's Cardiologist Is at Center of It

CBS) Los Angeles police are denying a Web site's report that they're treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide. Celebrity Web site TMZ.com, which cited "multiple law enforcement sources" in saying the investigation is indeed now is a homicide probe, also says the pop icon's cardiologist is the focus of that probe. But Police Officer Sara Faden, speaking on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department, tells CBS News the investigation hasn’t turned into a homicide probe at this point. She adds she doesn’t know where TMZ is getting that information. The official autopsy results aren't due out until at least next week, "Early Show" national correspondent Hattie Kauffman pointed out Wednesday, but TMZ says, "The evidence points to the anesthesia Propofol as the primary cause of Jackson's death.

As we first reported, vials of Propofol were found in Jackson's home after he died. Jackson's home after he died." "Law enforcement sources say there is already 'plenty of powerful evidence' linking Dr. Murray as the person who administered the drug to Jackson," TMZ continued, including "various items found in Jackson's house, including the Propofol, an IV stand and oxygen tank." TMZ adds that "police have already talked to the L.A. district attorney's office about possible homicide charges." Neither the LAPD nor Dr. Murray has commented on the TMZ report. Both Latoya Jackson, Michael's sister, and his father, Joe Jackson, have said they suspect Jackson was a victim of foul play. Murray isn't the only doctor under scrutiny, Kauffman notes.

A coroner's official served a subpoena on the office of Dr. Arnold Klein, a Beverly Hills dermatologist who treated Jackson for years and was a close friend. Complete coverage of Jackson's life and death "I mean," TMZ's Harvey Levin told CBS News, he's cooperating now. ... The coroner was frustrated, because he had asked Arnie Klein to ante up Michael Jackson's medical records, and then said, 'Where are they'? And never got a return call, and that's why the assistant coroner went out (to Klein's office)." The federal Drug Enforcement Administration the manufacturer of Propofol for a specific batch of the medication, as part of the DEA's probe, Kauffman notes. Another Jackson sibling, Tito Jackson, has told a British newspaper the family tried to stage an intervention on Michael's drug use, but was turned away by Jackson's handlers.

Also, in the possible custody battle over Jackson's three kids, lawyers for Debbie Rowe, who gave brith to two of them, are demanding the New York Post retract its report that she's agreed to give up parental rights in exchange for $4 million. But, Kauffman says, attorneys for Rowe and Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, are still talking privately, in advance of Monday's scheduled custody hearing

'Big Brother 11' Jeff loves Ya Kid K

http://blog.zap2it.com/bigbrother/2009/07/big-brother-11-jeff-loves-ya-kid-k.html

On Sunday night, I was pretty impressed with how Ronnie was making some early moves in 'Big Brother 11'. Tonight, I have to wonder; is it boldness or insecurity?
Sadly, I missed about the first 15 minutes of the show thanks to what my grandfather would have called one rip-snorter of a storm. When the power came back, the HGs were elbow deep in gushing pimples, trying to fish out scrabble letters. The POV competition was underway, but for the sake of my sanity I am going to assume that I didn't miss much beyond the duotone of reminiscence.

As the HGs participating got their letters onto boards, each trying to spell the longest word possible, it seemed like Lydia and Natalie were floundering the most. 'Last' was all Natalie managed to spell - claiming that spot for herself pretty quickly. At least until Jeff admitted that he attempted to Spin That Wheel of fate and spell 'technotronics'. While I am sure Ya Kid K appreciated the shout out, 'technotronic' is not actually a legitimate word. Lydia doesn't fare much better, not quite spelling 'civilization' , but at least her word is real. Read the rest of this recap over at It Happened Last Night!
